Congrats, Sympathies, and Good Luck from CC!

We've been so busy dealing with server issues and keeping the site available, I haven't had time to pass along our best wishes from CC (Dave, Sally, our counselors, our merry band of mods, and me). By now, just about everyone probably knows their ED/EA status. Congrats to those who were admitted - that's a huge relief, and you'll be able to take it easy over the holiday.

No doubt, many more CCers either got thin e-mails or decided to forego the early round completely. Don't worry, from what I've seen of the postings (sorry our Stats Profiles are temporarily absent, they'll be up after the server switch), you all have some great college choices ahead of you. And CC will be here for the duration - for last minute application issues, and then for support through the waiting period until RD decisions are made. Best of luck to all!

Roger

Aww, thank you :-)

thank you!

I <3 CC

Thank you very much :)

No results yet from my Ss EA applications. One in fact, listed mid-term grades as a missing component of the application. Did I misunderstand what the mid-term grades are?? I thought they are the final grades of the first term (semester) of the senior year. My kid doesn't get these grades until late January. Does that mean that an EA decision won't be made until then?

No, I applied ED to the University of Rochester and they said that it will say that my mid year report is missing and that that is completely fine. I called to confirm this b/c I myself was confused.

My Rochester ED decisions was supposedly sent today, so I should hopefully find out soon. Until then I wait in eager anticipation :)

EM, you may be right - they haven't received the first semester grades yet, and their computer is showing that. It may not affect EA status. Your son should call the admissions office to clarify what the status of the app is. When in doubt, check it out.

Still waiting...nervous...blood pressure going up...close to nervous breakdown. I better get accepted.

3 EA schools; notification dates of 12/20, 12/31, and 1/31!

1/31, that's a long time to wait. Good luck, mominva!

Thank you Roger.I got into my Early Decision school...Am so happy right now...

lol thin e-mails? :)

Thanks :) I still haven't gotten my mail, and I don't want to recieve it via e-mail so i'll just have to tough it out for a few more days.

World renowned institution of higher learning, The University of Chicago, has failed to meet their deadline. Oh well, I wallow in the ignorance of the "early next week" party line.

sixsixty, LOL. One of the things that makes e-mail slightly more unnerving because you can't tell from the package. Can't wait for next year's EA craze ;) (I'll be in it)

Thank you

I was so amazed to see my acceptance email (even if it was several painful hours late)

Wishing all of you a holly, jolly holiday season with your loved ones. Thanks for doing such a great job!

yep, still waiting on Chicago. It's killing me!
Congratulations to those who've been accepted!

Just remember thin envelopes bring good news, too. DD just got an acceptance Friday with a scholarship offer...in a thin envelope.

Thank you.

Yesterday I got my early admissions info back from Rutgers and I'm in. It was my first choice (of those I completed EA/ED) but I still might try for some reaches like NYU.
