Best Wishes to ED & EA Applicants

It's that time again - on behalf of Dave Berry, Sally Rubenstone, our merry band of moderators, the gnomes who keep our servers running 24/7, and myself, best wishes to all of our members who are early applicants!

And remember, if you didn't get the early nod, you undoubtedly still have great college prospects ahead of you. Those students declined or deferred in the early round by Ivies and the like are sought-after applicants at just about every other college in the country, and are often accepted at schools of equal or greater selectivity than their early choice. So, put the early disappointment behind you and get ready for the main event!

If you have been accepted, congratulations! If not, don't worry - College Confidential will be here for the duration of your college admissions process!

and with this speedy system running like a top we can all read the smiles and sobs very quickly. I echo the good luck to all CC early candidates.

Ditto.. Good luck to all, and stick around on CC after your decisions come in!

thanks.. we'll need the luck

i'm an ED applicant myself (go vassar!) and i need my share of luck! best of luck to all fellow ED applicants and really, thank you CC - you've made the whole wait (and still continue to make it) so much more tolerable. :D

Even some of the mods -- ME -- are on pins and needles as my very own daughter awaits he ED outcome! Good luck to all.

I'm an alum...we sweated out SCEA last year...

I want to echo Roger_Dooley's comment about RD after ED/EA...we got a "no" on the SCEA--then 4 yes's during RD, complete w/honors & scholarship offers--at 4 highly selective schools, including an Ivy (where S currently is)...I "get" the angst and the "pain" if the envelope contains a "no"--but worry not--lots of learning--academic, living-life, and FUN--await you after RD if ED/EA/SCEA doesn't work out...

But of course, we want ALL of you to get "yes'es"...and I know I'm on pins 'n needles, too, as the ED/EA/SCEA applicants have become loved friends through their posts this past year...do let us know, right away...we're sweating it out w/you!

Since saying "thank you" to good luck means bad luck in my country (or my brother made that up) I will just say that the good luck is needed. I appreciate it!

I'll risk it, vemafe, and say thanks :) I'm applying SCEA, by the way. Good luck to everyone...... by this time next week, we'll all have our decisions.

Thank you guys very much. I've been around the CC boards for about three years now (as adidasty for the majority of the part) and CC has had a pretty big effect on my high school career. Thanks for the forums and thanks for everything else.

-Ty

I'm nervous and I didn't even apply ED/EA! I'm nervous for my cc friends, my "real" friends, and it's just "what's gonna happen?"! :)

Man im nervous about admissions. Ill have to wait but I just try to push it out of my mind :P

Good luck to everyone! I hope next week will bring tears of happiness and celebration =D

good luck to all of you..you are super parents and your kids are going to have some wonderful outcomes and choices....

thanks for your support....
i think we're all waiting..stressing...and hoping fervently at home

I don't know when I've been this anxious about anything! My D applied ED. 12/22 is the big day. It seems like an eternity!
Good luck to all of you!!

I Am So Scared.

drinkingmilkalldaylong : same here. it's keeping me up at night, for sure.

Its weird... When I first sent off my ED application I felt anxious, then I entered this state of serenity, but now with 8 days left I'm back to feeling anxious!

Best of luck to everyone.

^ Yeah, I feel the same way Quaker.

Good luck to everyone, I find out from 3 colleges early - Tufts (ED I), BC (EA), and Catholic U. (EA), should be a crazy next week or two...heh, hopefully a good one!
