Congrats to all you accepted/soo to be accepted (likelys)

oh hai lvy league brethren. can i haz cheezburgr?

dude we should go to wendys

Is there a Wendys in Hanover?

i know i may sound immature, but i dont like Dartmouth anymore cuz i did not get a likely.

so i wont care about the decision....GO DUKE!!!!

There should be one more wave...so don't turn your back on us yet :P

BigWeight-- you didn't get one from Duke either, unless you are a desired urm. Each school has there own reason to send likelies-- most are for athletes and others are commonly used to show a special connection for a special reason--- be patient and good things happen.

Is there really supposed to be 1 more wave? I just got a early write acceptance from Amherst College so hopefully Dartmouth feels the same way about me. Lol who am I kidding, of course they won't. Congrats to all you amazing people who received likely letters, you guys are truly exceptional.

Thanks for the optimism Arch3r25!!! :)

and IvyisGreen, I did get a likely from Duke (I am Hispanic btw) ;)

Congrats everyone!

Really? One more wave? Could anyone confirm that?
I'm keeping my fingers crossed :)

I applied to Dartmouth too, and I am hoping for a letter myself.

But from what it seems, the third wave has been completed (unless you live very far) because someone in Florida received theirs a few days ago and it was dated 3/6, which is the third date they have used.

Oh, well... hopefully we'll both get in anyway.

Yeah I've heard about the 3/6 wave. I guess if it has already reached FL, then there's not that much chance I could get that one. I was thinking that Arch3r25 meant we still have another one after the 3/6 one. But that wouldn't really make that much difference from just waiting until 3/31. But, likely or no, let's still keep our fingers crossed for acceptance into the college. As long as I get in eventually I don't care about the timing at all :)

I live in IL, and got mine on Monday, dated 3/6

I just got an email today! Mixed emotion... yeah i'm glad (everybody loves a little appreciation of their ability and achievement, however little or insignificant) but i've sort of decided not to go with Dartmouth for a while now.

^^^^^ok then please send your likely letter to me

yeah ill take it off your hands for you

Give it to me!

To those who haven't gotten likelies - don't be discouraged!!!!!! Likely letters go out [[during]] the review period, it doesn't mean they've read all the applications and have selected who will get in and send them likely letters. it means that as they're reading, these applicants are particularly promising. they only send out about 500 likelies according to some website i saw, but in any case, whether the aforementioned is completely true or not, the following is certain: not every accepted applicant gets a likely letter, few of them actually do. so keep your chin up and hope! if you've applied to dartmouth, the chances are you're a strong candidate for wanting to do so in the first place. =)

Lol, I might have been one of the very last person to send in an application. I got an extension. I am still hoping.

there better be a wendys in hanover
