Congressional internships

Hello all,

I'm hoping to pursue a congressional internship in DC this summer, and I was wondering if anyone here had gone through the application process.

How difficult is it to get this type of internship? Should I be really pushing to improve my resume this year?

I'm a sophomore an economics major with a 3.8 GPA, I just accepted an undergraduate writing fellowship, I participate in a community service club once a week, and I am the membership director of my campus' Democratic Party organization. I'm also volunteering (I'm technically an intern) for a lieutenant governor campaign.

Would you say my odds are good? Is there anything I can do to improve them?

Thanks!

^correction–4.0 GPA. 3.8 was high school. :P

Congressional internships are easy to get, don’t sweat it. I applied with 3 congressional offices, interviewed with 2 of them, got offers from both but ended up taking an internship with NBC Universal instead.

Cool. What did you do at NBC Universal?
