I was wondering:

What does it take to become a congressional page?
Is it a huge disadvantage if I have a different political ideology than my representative/senator?

ummm...it doesn't really matter if you have a different idealogy than them. it doesn't matter if you're a democrat, republican, liberal, conservative, or moderate to get coffee well

I know that it doesn't matter, but wouldn't my rep take this into consideration, since he alone is making the decision of whether or not to sponsor me?

hmmm...maybe you can just make yourself seem a little more moderate.

Political affiliation doesn't matter at ALL. A page has to show interest and enthusiam in government and politics and being a quick sprinter doesn't hurt either. My Senator and I disagree on a lot of things, but I still mananged to get an intership with him next summer.

be careful on this program! lots of pages are molested/harassed by their bosses.

if you're strong enough, mentally (not necessarly physically), you can stand up to that sort of stuff

namaste: whats up with that?

RickF: that's true.

historic: that's the way powerful men are. in hollywood, in DC, in top corporations. girls and even boys have to be careful.
