A while ago my principal took me aside and told me about this essay contest and how that it might be something intresting for me and how great it would be if i did.
i did not have much homework so I did it and turned in the application. Does anyone know about this and could anyone tell me about it? Would it look good for colleges if I won?
Future Thanks

Ive never heard of this contest, but after checking out the website, it looks pretty prestigous.

If it is prestigous contest, it would defintely look good on your college resume.

any national awards is great

Thanks jason4444. I doubt I will be able to win though but I tried and that is all that matters!:)
It would be really great if I won but I bet there are a lot of better writers then me. The prize for this contest is to go for free to these Washington Workshops for leadership completely free. I'll be crossing my fingers until I find out!!
Any more responses would be great!!!!!!!!!

Bump!!!!!!

last Bump!!!!

The National Society of The Colonial Dames of America? Sounds sort of like DAR. I'm pretty bad at being blindly patriotic, so I doubt I could succeed at this contest.

What's DAR-Daughter's of the American Revolution?????????
Saviorfaire did you enter it?
In whole honestly, I am probably one of the least patrioctic people -I hate what the bush goverment had done to America for in truth we do not have the rights that were promised to us by the founding fathers. If I could I would move to Canada or England
i entered this contest just for fun and because I think i am decent in writing. Also, I am intrested in politics and goverment.
the essay topic wasn't even that patrotic
what was the best amendment to the constitution and why.

Has anyone done this contest before? If you won did you enjoy the workshops?
Anyone out there?
