<p>Mockingbird7 is incorrect. It is perfectly grammatical (though often not stylistically preferable because of ambiguity) to modify noun phrases. We do it all the time, as in:</p>

<p>I was taking my ap physics test and my preset alarm went off in my pocket, they took my test away but mine is still going to be graded with no consequences to me nor anyone else because I was not using it, I was finished with the test, and could prove it was an unintentional alarm, this might not happen in all cases and it is mostly up to the board’s discretion. </p>
