In your experience, are conservatives welcomed @ NYU? Everyone knows about NYU's liberal atmosphere, seeing as it's in Greenwich Village and such. Some people actually go there for that. Im wondering if conservatives are excluded...mocked...ridiculed...etc...

Absolutley...NYU has college republicans and other conservative groups. Clearly there are more liberals, but conservative elements do exist. Stern and the CAS econ. dept. are of a more conservative bent, while Tisch tends to be on the liberal side. NYU is big enough and diverse enough that you won't have trouble finding a group to your political liking.

thanks alot for all of your replies jw. you've been a huge help to me, and everyone else im sure.

Conservative filmmakers are so hot right now. Not really...

Safiamilke, before you go about making broad generalizations...Ugh.

Just look at Clint Eastwood, who recently snagged 'Best Director' for Million Dollar Baby. Eastwood is NO liberal (Have you even seen Dirty Harry?)

In addition to Eastwood, you also have Mel Gibson. As far as actors, there is always the Gubernator.

Sorry, sarcasm doesn't translate (as in Zoolander)...I think I am quitting this bored, as people are so quick to correct and preach...bye everyone
