Okay, so I am writing this post not as a TCNJ student, but as a New Jersey resident. I am currently a sophomore at William and Mary, which is a fine school, but I am posting this because in retrospect, I feel like a complete fool. You see, my senior year of high school, I refused to apply to any NJ state schools due to the idea of being close to home and their supposed lack of prestige. In doing so, however, not only did I miss out on loads of scholarship money (I was a Bloustein recipient as well), I missed out on the opportunity to attend one of the best up and coming schools in America. This place is a true gem, with its true, 4 class per semester liberal arts curriculum (William and Mary claims to be a liberal arts school, but all the classes are just 3 credits and requirements are at times unreasonable) and great size. Opportunities are abound here, and chances are you are probably considering applying if your looking at this. But really do consider it, not as a safety school or back-up to something else!

No longer a runner? We (we being the state of New Jersey) sent 2 of our best XC runners to W&M last year. I hope they are enjoying themselves. I'm sure TCNJ would have loved to have them.

Still a runner, just not running competitively any longer. I have a good friend (former NJ standout) who is a senior on the girls' cross country and track teams, and she loves the program. Had I not injured myself very badly in high school, I would have loved to run for William and Mary (if I ever decide to transfer to TCNJ, I'll probably try running for them. I think I could swing DIII at this point).
