Considered?

<p>Would you consider "The Grapes of Wrath" a US historical fiction novel?</p>

<p>I was informed that it was more a treatise on different philosophies (I have yet to read the book to discover for myself) such as Theism (is that even a word? referring to absolute truth) and relative truth.</p>

<p>I was taught that the one of the book's characters, a priest/pastor (?), crosses over those philosophies.</p>

<p>Maybe this is just a sub-thing to the main plot.</p>

<p>I always thought it was a social criticism. My APUSH teacher was obsessed with it and integrated it into his Great Depression unit.</p>
