<p>It's certainly a bad thing to be a student at a university and take CC courses. It looks like you're running from something.</p>
<p>As for being a student from a CC, I've never seen any data which will allow me to comment conclusively on the subject. I don't think it's a stretch to suggest that the imputation of significantly less rigorous coursework is, on balance, a negative.</p>
<p>But what can I do to make up for the less rigorous coursework? I was thinking of double majoring after I transfer. That way I cover the same amount of units(if we're excluding JC units) that any premed student would have.</p>
<p>Also I've completed 1/4 of my premed coursework at a JC. I plan to finish the rest after I transfer. But do I have to take upper division science courses because of this just to ensure my competency in science?</p>
<p>Double majoring doesn't really matter. The extra units might, though. I don't know.</p>
<p>Yes, you should take upper division courses if you can. Most premeds should do this anyway, and it's all the more important in your case.</p>
<p>Most important thing is to really kill the MCAT so that they have a standardized idea of your performance.</p>
