Considering Transferring to JMU

Hello, I’m currently a freshman at American University in Washington DC. Though this school has a great program for my major (International Relations), as time goes on I’m finding that I might want to be a bit closer to home (central VA) and at a college that is not in such a large city. With that being said, I’m considering transferring to JMU for Fall 2018 but wondering if I will get in. I’m doing very well so far at AU and expecting to get at least a 3.5 GPA for the first semester. In high school, I had a weighed GPA of 4.17 and my SAT score was 1200 (low, I know). I took four AP classes and did loads of volunteering as well as ECs. Here are the classes I’m taking my first semester of freshman year:

SIS-105: World Politics
MATH- 151: Finite Mathematics
ECON-100: Macroeconomics
FREN-122: French, Elementary I
SISU-106: Global & Local HIV Epidemic

Any feedback is appreciated!
