<p>I’d like to offer to read again. I am a parent and for the last three years I have volunteered in our high school’s Post Grad center. Last summer I read essays for CCers and I had the pleasure of editing some absolutely brilliant writing. I am not very good at catching spelling or grammatical mistakes, however, I can help with word choice and content. </p>
<p>Please understand that I need time to give your work the attention it deserves. If you send me an essay that is “due tomorrow” then I probably won’t be able to help you.</p>
<p>Hey everyone! I enjoy looking at what makes good writing and essays tick… it’ll be fun to look at some essays and work with you to improve it. I’ll try to critique as honestly and harshly as I can without becoming a proofreader… so I like specific questions about voice, intro, mechanics, whatever isn’t just “can you look it over?” 
Also, please be kind enough to respond back after I critique… It’s depressing to spend 30min-1hour commenting on an essay and then… never hearing back again. 
Even a simple thanks or “God you suck at this!” is good.</p>

Remember students, dont trust anyone blindly. For example, lolcatz only 5 posts have been on threads asking to read people’s essays. Look back and read what the person has had to say. You can learn a lot from this. </p>
