CONSOLIDATED October 2011 MATH (better organized)

Square root of MP = 4
What is (MP)^2?
256

Thanks GradeEasy, that jogged my memory

^ yeah got tha

MitDuke

if i recall it was like either 2 or 1 or something

but the were (3) + (2) = (5)

I think I got a -1, 11 and 10, i am pretty sure the chart read f(x) g(x) h(x)

I think for the answers there were only positive numbers from 0, 1, 2, 3, etc.

MitDuke yeah.

And x was 0

X. F(x). G(x). H(x)
0. 10. 11. -1.

(I think).

Cpu can you explain, what did you put as the answer

I’m pretty sure 402 was the final answer.

the answer was 0

what choice was that, a?

yeah .

k thanks, was scared for a little bit that my chance at a 800 would be ruined

Come on! 10 more questions!!!

I put 0 as the answer. I think I got the column order wrong in my previous post, but the answer is 0

a) 0
b) 1
c) 2
d) 3
e) 4

.2 (ab+1)/5ab ab=>10^5 or 6

what problem was this?

It was given the ab > 10^5 and you had to find the closest approximation to (ab+1)/5ab.

Can anyone remember the sweater mismatching question? What was the problem asking?

what would -1 in math be

what was the answer to the mondays question. 9?

ymlee822.

A girl had 5 sweaters and 5 scarves (?). each sweater has a matching scarf.

How many combinations can she make WITHOUT using matching sets?

Scarf 1 and sweater 2/3/4/5 = 4 options
Scarf 2 and sweater 1/3/4/5 = 4
Scarf 3 and sweater 1/2/4/5 = 4
Scarf 4 and sweater 1/2/3/5 = 4
Scarf 5 and sweater 1/2/3/4 = 4

There are 25 possible combinations (5 sweaters x 5 scarves) but only 20 possibilities for non-matching pairs.

20/25 = .8
