I was wondering if any of you out there participated in the We The People Constitution competition? How is it viewed by colleges? Share!

i was woundering the same thing...

People who have been on it from my school have gone to great places and a lot of written their essays on it. I'm sure it helps that my school's team is tied for the most number of national championships (we're going way downhill though), but the year I did it, we lost by four points at state to a team that placed in the top 10 at nationals, so I can't say I was on a national team. All in all it was a great experience, though. I loved all the hard work. I wish I could've done it for more than one year.

Btw, does everyone else do it as Seniors and as a class, cuz our team is usually comprised of about 22 sophomores and 8 upper classmen that meet outside of school. We always compete against all senior teams who take it as an honors class (at most of the schools).

I am competing and I despise it!!! I am seeing it through though.

We The People...yes I have heard of that. Some kids who did it once watched one of my debate rounds. They were like, "uhhh, this is weird..." :) It's probably viewed by colleges as similar to debate, but on your apps you should mention any awards, if there are any??

We don't have specific awards like debate and mock trial. Only team awards and I put we won districts and got 2nd in state.
