I just visited Ohio State this weekend and aesthetically, it was gorgeous. But I couldn’t help but notice the prevalent construction around different areas of campus. Is this construction temporary or do they always have construction going around at places throughout the year? Other than the construction, it was an awesome campus, although the outlying city was pretty run down.

I think you’ll find construction at most growing universities. I would look at it as a positive. During our college tours, many of the campuses were expanding or updating. Be glad you missed the construction around Ohio Union or Thompson Library. Those were some big projects.

There will ALWAYS be construction here. It’s annoying but there’s nothing you can do.

I don’t understand why Ohio State is trying to grow so much. It’s a huge gripe I have with the university…making a bigger campus just makes each student a number rather than a person.
