I submitted an early application to Stanford that indicated that I volunteered 6hrs/wk and 30wk/year when in reality it turned out to be 6hrs/wk and 22wk/year
Is it worth the trouble to contact admission to change these numbers?

No, that is not a significant consideration.
Alright thanks!
@Midwestmomofboys What if it was from 30wk/yr to 16wk/yr?
An 88% overstatement of hours would be a big deal in my book. I’d correct it, lest the correct number be mentioned in a rec or is otherwise discovered. Then you risk the AO wondering what else in the application is incorrect.
30 wks, 22 wks, now 16 weeks, 2 yrs or 3 yrs, you need to get your story straight. I agree with ski, your over estimation is very large and that overestimation of 3 yrs/30wks/6hrs vs 2 yrs/16 wks/6 hrs is a great deal of time to account for. You want to be able quantify that.
16 weeks doesn’t sound hypothetical. It’s half what you apparently put in your app. Email them that you realize you miscalculated and give them the correct numbers. Short and honest.
And this: a lot of kids are posting about some error they should have checked for, especially in apps for tippy tops. After a while, it leaves questions about why these “mistakes,” why not more caution.
@skieurope @Sybylla @lookingforward Should I bring this up at my undergraduate interview? I’ve already emailed admissions office.
If you’ve emailed admissions, I’d say you’ve done due diligence. I would not mention at interview. Not that big of a deal.
What would you expect an interviewer to do? Did you send admissions the corrected info?
No. For most colleges, the interviewer does not have a copy of your application, so no need to review.
I’ve sent correction to admissions. Thanks for the help everyone!
