Contact information- admission office for international students

Hey everyone,

I am still on my never ending journey to get everything straight and to build a good foundation for my preparation for Michigan. So I have several questions which I want to send to someone of the admission who is responsible for internation affairs. Unfortunately I was not able to find the email-adress of such a person on the umich-website although I know that such email lists exist. Can you help me in that case?

Philipp

The questions I wanted to send them refer to this Brochure http://www.admissions.umich.edu/docs/Key-Facts-English-2013.pdf</a>

There it is said, that you need a secondary school report. I am not sure how this is handled in the US, but in Germany there is definitely almost no school, where an secondary school report is common. So is a secondary school report really necessary or are your grades of each of your years of secondary school enough.

And a comprehension question:

Is a school report a written report about you by your school counselor, or is it just the grades you get in your subjects?

@VPhill The secondary school report is just a form that needs to be filled out by your schools counselor or principal. It is different than your transcript, and it is used to help put your grades in context. I’m not certain how this is handled for international students, so you can check by calling admissions directly at 1-734-764-7433. You can also ask a question online through https://umich.custhelp.com/app/answers/list</a>, but I don’t think they respond very quickly. It’s best to just call.

Thank you for your reply!

Yes you are right, I think calling them would clear most of the misunderstanding.
