Contacted for Interview?

I requested an interview with a Bowdoin alum on the website about three weeks ago, and received an email saying that my name has been referred and that I should be contacted within “a few weeks”. It’s been about three weeks now, and though I know that the alumnus are quite busy and probably doing last minute ED interviews, what does “a few weeks” generally mean? (as in, when exactly should I get concerned if I don’t get contacted?) I’m thinking of waiting until the end of December before I ask the admissions office.

I do know that interviews aren’t necessary, but I would really like one if possible!
BTW, I’m applying RD.

My daughter got that same email and about a month later was contacted by the interviewer(the 15th) during mid-terms. She asked the interviewer to please wait until her tests were over for the interview and he agreed. He met her sometime after Christmas. It was an easy chat and she wrote him a thank you note afterwards. He was notified about her acceptance when she was and wrote her a very excited and congratulatory email encouraging her to accept. Best Wishes - I don’t miss this time last year!
