My son would like to contact his Admissions Processor to ask a question and in the process re-express interest (we just visited). He would be applying for fall 2019 admission, so he has not begun the process yet. Would writing to the person listed here https://oafa.pitt.edu/processors/ associated with his surname be the right thing to do, or will the processors be assigned to potentially different surnames next year?
Hello! The assignments may change, but anyone on our team will be happy to assist you. Feel free to email the processor that currently goes with your name on that list or to contact our office at oafa@pitt.edu or 412-624-7488 with any questions.

A Pitt Admissions Staffer
Thanks @hailtopitt1787
Beyond visiting campus (which we have done) how do students show interest? Does contacting a processor with an admissions question count? Do interactions with the eventual department of interest get logged? (He is interested in computer science, but knows that admissions will probably proceed through the Dietrich school initially, so we’re not sure if correspondence with School of Computer and Information staff will “count”.)
Thanks!
@Mathmomvt, Beyond visiting campus, one of the best ways to show interest is filling out the optional short answer questions on the application. Feel free to also contact our office, as you are planning. Admissions for all undergraduate students is handled through our office!
