Contemporary/Jazz Voice (NOT Berklee)

Hey!
Just wondering--Does anybopdy know of schools that have like a contemporary and/or jazz voice program (well not necessarily jazz)...

Like, I kno belmont does and miami does, but otherwise...any other school that's not a conservatory?

bump *****es

Western Michigan University is home to the best collegiate vocal jazz program in the world, Gold Company, or how it is seen as others. For more info, Gold Company, Collegiate Vocal Jazz Program.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Western yet.

jeremybeach--check on UMass Amherst for vocal jazz. I heard that their voice department is good from a girl vocalist on her audition circuit last year when we were touring schools. And you have all the colleges in the 5-college Consortium from which to draw for teachers, classes and performance opportunities, which I think is quite an asset.

We have a good friend studying jazz voice at University of North Texas. It was the only school she applied to - only school that had the program she wanted. Fortunately she got in! (Don't think the family knows/knew how risky that was.)
