Are undergraduates allowed to take continuing ed classes? It appears they meet once per week in the evening which would free up mornings to do required service learning. Has anyone had a child who has take one of these classes?
Thanks,

Oh yes. There have been several current students that have posted on here they are taking classes in the School of Continuing Education. One of them is a Homeland Security major, which is only offered in the SCE, yet they are an undergraduate in Newcomb-Tulane College. Even way back when I was there, I took Differential Equations in the SCE (it was called University College back then). Same prof that normally taught it in the daytime. It hasn’t changed as far as availability, and some types of courses are only taught there. Besides Homeland Security, I think there are some journalism and PR courses that are only taught then, because they are taught by local professionals. One can look at the list of majors offered through the SCE and see which ones are unique to them.
There are some restrictions as to how many courses one can take in the SCE when you are a N-T College student, but those rules very rarely affect the typical full-time undergrad.
many thanks, fc, I knew you would know the answer!
