What do you think about these college essay topics:
Self-Injury/Hospitalization/Suicide (a HUGE part of my life and explains why I want to go into my major, but is it tacky or off-putting? What if I write it in a certain way to make it less gore-y and concentrate on recovery?)
My diagnosis with lupus (not really that emotional, but it sets me apart?)
My fear of driving (overcoming an obstacle that is if I overcome it in time)
Hypochondria (I can write very humorously, I’m not sure if this is good?)
I don’t have any experiences that stand out, or something I’m extremely passionate about besides helping others. I feel writing about my volunteer work would be to clich

Use lupus or driving.
