한국어 Korean. For 슈퍼주니어! It’s so easy compared to Chinese and Japanese because it has the most logical alphabet ever.

If I could I would learn Swahili just for the hell of it :)

My post from before still stands

I just watched the Iranian film called “A Separation” (soon to be Best Foreign Film! Yea me and Oscar movies are soul mates) and I’m like, “I wanna speak dat lang!”

@risubu - 슈퍼주니어 does not look logical to me Japanese is pretty simple. Two different “alphabets” with like 46 characters each (the same 46 sounds/letters/whatever with two different ways to write them depending on which word) and then only… a few thousand kanji :D

ア=あ="a"

Icelandic is a beautiful language.

I would also recommend Xhosa.

While my dad was working in Chicago, he knew a girl in his apartment who was a UChicago student. She was from rural Missouri and wasn’t particularly intelligent in any scientific regard (my dad had to help her with her math homework) but she did have one thing going for her…

…she could speak more than 60 (his number) languages…

My old man apparently had a good laugh every time she would argue with a Mid-Eastern cab driver in his native tongue, or scold the drunken Finn with words he could understand. Strange world.

Did anyone mention Pig Latin?

Wow, I wish my school had a language other than Spanish.

Hindi!

(Indian for those who don’t recognize the name)

It’s cool because you can say one thing in so many ways. It’s one of the oldest languages in the world and spoken by over a billion people in the Indian Subcontinent. Plus, the script looks like math symbols, so you can show off to others Hindi’s like Chinese, but more exotic.

PS. I pity the people who fail to see the humor strewn in my post about one language being better than another.

I have a friend learning: French, Spanish, Italian, Mandarin, Latin and Russian, all of which are pretty useful.
Also, if you’re looking for something a little different, Ancient Greek is great!

norwegian and cantonese

Where can I learn Hindi for free?

In return, I will post a site to learn Korean for free. [Talk To Me In Korean](http://talktomeinkorean.com/)

Angle-Saxon a.k.a. Old English

fluentin3months.com

great site ^

My list of languages to learn:

French
Finnish
German
Russian
Mandarin Chinese
Korean
Japanese
Hindi
Arabic

German is ugly.

[List of languages of the World](http://www.listofcountriesoftheworld.com/languages/
) [Most Widely Spoken Languages](http://www2[url=http://www.ignatius.edu/faculty/turner/languages.htm)
[Spoken Languages of the World](<a href=“Global Recordings Network”>Search GRN Website)

Why dont you take a look at these? The third one says it has all the languages in the world with people speaking it. Now isnt that cool?

It’s also a website about telling the story of Jesus… and another one is from a private school.

lol

Icelandic. It’s the hardest language and I know a fluent speaker. It’s mind boggling to hear him say a simple sentence like “I live in blah blah blah” in Icelandic. Crazy!

I want to learn Ancient Greek and Old/Middle English (not anglo-saxon)
Also German would be really interesting, but not as useful as most modern languages
