My high school offers Japanese, along with Spanish and French, so I took what interested me most; Japanese. I'm in the third year of learning it, and it's been fun so far. :)

Meh... we don't have anything very special. Spanish, German, Am Sign Language, and Ojibwe. I took Spanish. My aunt is from Honduras, so I'd like to become fluent eventually.

Do you think it is possible to be fluent by just learning in school? I am a soph taking Spanish 1 (never took language course) and like it so far. Yeah, it is still easy as hell, but willing to continue.

By the way, my parents are Japanese, and I lived in Korea for 7 years, so i am fluent in both. Spanish is my 4th language, but i suck at English so yeah lol

I think Spanish and French are pretty cool.

If you want to be fluent, participate in one of those immersion programs. I don't know about most schools, but my school offers immersion trips to Mexico annually and to France/Spain every two years.

Yay. Orange Juice. and I are in the EXACT same situation!

Immersion=no money
