That doesn’t surprise me. Many years ago when I was at BJ a kid arrived there known by all to have a very wealthy father (a building and part of a building at the University now bear the father’s name). Nobody took much notice of it. It was not then, and I assume not now, what impresses U of C students. It would be nice if a building or two around the campus some day bears the name of the elder Gates. That might depend on just how normally the kid gets treated by his peers.
