CK brought his army men. They are keeping his room safe for Democracy.
You’re in for a shock when you see the size of the dorm rooms, then. LOL.
How big are the dorm rooms?
It depends, but generally, just big enough to house the furniture provided plus a little extra floor space: bed, desk, chair, chest of drawers, etc. Multiply by two for a double.
@skieurope Is there room to run around in a dorm room? I have this habit of doing random exercises in my room.
@skieurope: I did see the size of the dorm rooms (but the room was a single), haha. I guess the air hockey table would also have to serve as my desk
@mathman1201: I saw a dorm single room (didn’t see the doubles, so not sure how big it would be). It is “modestly” big so I think you could definitely get some jumping jacks or abdominal exercises in there but I wouldn’t say that there is enough room to run around. Maybe you could just run around campus? Or down the hallway or down the stairs in the dorm?
Haha okay thanks for the input @thelittleswimmer
Anyways it’s time to break that habit.
I think it would be really cute to bring polaroid pictures of your closest friends and hang them up in a cool, decorative way. Little DIY crafts are nice.
^^^ Or door decorations. Or some cool lighting.
For some reason, I can’t stand decorating rooms when I first arrive somewhere. I can barely take things out of my suitcase. When I arrive somewhere, I must leave my dorm and explore. Then after a week, I start to really unpack.
I hope my future dormmate won’t mind. Maybe I should get a single (if I get in, of course.)
This is a fun thread: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/prep-school-parents/1641101-2014-thread-for-finding-bs-stuff-p1.html
^^^ that thread is a very fun read. I stumbled across it a few weeks ago and it has some great info.
IF (and only IF) I get into a school, I have made a list!
•New fun bedspread!
•Nook for some good new books
•Lots and lots and LOTS of junk food (Especially Milanos)
And- an airtight container to store those treats in, @HistoryGeek40 !
We should get someone to pin that thread when March rolls around.
I’m super scared about the junk food I’ll bring to BS if I get in
Many schools have a themed dance of some sort at the beginning of school (Cate has a square-dance, Deerfield has a disco, etc.) Bring something fun to wear to that, since you probably won’t have time to pull it together at the last minute.
Wow, thanks for all the ideas guys!
