Hi, I would like to know my chances of getting into Cooper Union, in addition to a few other schools, if you wouldn't mind stating. Thanks!

Schools I'm looking into:
Cooper Union (REALLY want to go here.)
Carnegie Mellon
Lehigh
Bucknell
Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute
Polytechnic Institute
Cornell

Thanks a bunch!

PS: Stupid question... what does EC mean? Something about essays?

EC = extracurricular

And I'd say reject at Cooper Union, if youre applying for school of Architecture or Engineering, since both schools look heavily on SAT I and SAT II, both of which are much lower than the average of kids who apply.

And for those schools, ECs aren't really heavily looked at, and they look esp. at your Physics and MATH II grades if you took them, and your physics score is not that good

*by those schools, i meant cooper union school of architecture and school of engineering

Physics: 660 is like 50th percentile, isn't it?

Thanks for that input. What about for the other schools listed?

@ Castel

What do you mean by the 50th percentile? Do you mean within Cooper Union or in general?

I think he means in general. I also agree with the others. Plus, with such a high GPA and class ranking, and only a mediocre set of SAT's, most colleges will assume grade inflation and poor district; or at least something along those lines.

Are you applying ED?

Yes I am, mostly because I kind of had a feeling that I wouldn't get in, even though it is my #1 school. I might as well find out earlier than later. I'm sorry for asking again, but what do you think my chances are at the other schools?

Hi again, sorry, but any chances for the other schools? Thanks again.

i'm a cooper freshman and i think that you may possibly have a chance at the engineering school but it would be a reach. Early decision doesn't really give you much advantage at cooper and the admissions staff are clear on that point. However, you're GPA is great so you definately have a shot.
AS for the other schools:
CMU- Probably in
Lehigh-In
Bucknell-In
RPI-Probably In
Cornell-Reach
