Hi,
I’m sort of confused on what courses you have to take as a GE requirement at UNC. I looked at the website about the “connections”, and I was confused about the different sections like “approaches” or “foundations”. As an assured admit into KF, I don’t know which courses I have to take besides the pre-reqs, so if anyone could advise or post a sample schedule for two years that would be much appreciated!
Yep the categories are pretty vague without looking at an Academic Worksheet (curriculum guide by major).
FOUNDATIONS: Just that - English Rhetoric, Foreign Language, Quantitative Reasoning (Math), Fitness
APPROACHES: Life Sciences, Social Sciences, Humanities & Fine Arts
CONNECTIONS: Communication Intensive class/More Quantitative/ Experiential Learning class/Global Issues/US Diversity/North Atlantic/World before 1750/Beyond North Atlantic. SEVERAL CLASSES can satisfy multiple categories in this section.
Here is the Business School first two years outline example:

You will get some good help at orientation when you sign up for classes but it is best to go in with a good idea of what you are looking for.
Congratulations on your assured admit status and best of luck to you!
