Yo comment if your applying to Cornell AAP! Art? Arch? Urban Planning?

Applying ED for architecture. I don’t know how I’m going to make it through this next month, the wait is killing me!

@designdreamer nice! December 15th is when you find out??? Im applying for arch RD!

@thegrant Yea, somewhere around then! I’m thinking around December 13th maybe, but I’m not completely sure. Good luck to you and everyone else!

Hi its night to meet you Applied ED for Architecture

@Terminatio cool! just wondering, how many pieces did you have in your portfolio??? I’m sending mine soon soon so im getting nervous

@thegrant I’m not too sure but i think i hit 20 pieces

@Terminatio oh my god 20 pieces I have like 14… I’ve seen so many portfolios that people posted on college confidential and its so much better than mine. Do you know any other schools that i should apply to???

Applying for architecture regular decision. Super nervous because I’m still finishing like five pieces for my portfolio and I don’t have my alumni interview until December 19th. Oh well, I hope that my ‘creative vision’ shines through!

@silverarch I remember last year ther was a solid amount of kids applying to AAP from CC, im thinking theres a lot less this year!

Haha, yeah, I can only hope. In the info session I went to at Cornell, they said the regular decision admit rate last year was 7%. I’m also applying to the arch school at cooper union, which has an admit rate of like 2%. I guess that’s why I have safety schools…

@silverarch CMU and NOTRE DAME! lol

@thegrant Cal Poly, Pratt, and my local state school if worse comes to worse for me

@silverarch I was looking at an old Pratt admission decision thread and some kid got denied to Architecture with 2200 SAT, idk how thats even possible(prob couldnt draw maybe???)

@thegrant You don’t even have to submit a portfolio for pratt architecture if you you have at least a 3.7 UW! With my SAT and GPA I’d think I would be an automatic admit. Maybe he showed no passion for architecture in his essay? I don’t know. I’ve heard that Pratt is mostly a mix of brilliant Cooper union rejects and others that put in minimal effort, so that does seem strange that someone like that would be rejected

@silverarch im also applying to Pratt and cooper union! my teachers friend went to pratt for his b arch and i never heard of stories of people getting no sleep for 48 hours at pratt arch yet, though the craziest stories i heard of are from like RISD, AAP, and Cooper lol — btw are you ready for the home test in january??? I think we should just take each prompt and do crazy and trippy stuff to mindblow the admissions people lol

@thegrant Yeah I’m actually currently doing the first year architecture courses at my local university and I already go a lot nights with close to no sleep so it’s probably like that just about everywhere if you’re dedicated. I’m honestly really looking forward to the hometest. I actually do better with abstract prompts than straightforward ones and I took a few philosophy classes in high school so I guess I’m about as ready as I’ll ever be

didnt have a chance to ED arch i RDed arch :DDD exciting

Wait, I thought all ED results were coming out on 12/11?

@irishen16 yay!
@SteelAndConcrete they do!
