Hey guys I’m very interested in transferring to Cornell’s CALS Dyson school of business. I understand it is difficult to transfer into but any further insight/personal experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Stats:
Major: Half liberal arts, half business related courses but will have an AA in liberal arts:social sciences this spring.
Nassau Community College (54 credits) GPA 4.0
12-13’ St. Bonaventure University (32 credits) GPA 3.4(kinesiology major)
Sats:Not sending too low
HS: around 94 average
Teacher recs: very good
Essays: decent
Prereqs: Have all completed(I took bus calc instead of calc but it seems acceptable). Also will have all recommended courses done except the physics one
ECS: President of Phi Theta Kappa
Senator for Student Government
Volunteer Firefighter
Awards: 2015 Suny chancellors award for student excellence
School also has an articulation agreement with Cornell CALS. I don’t know if that helps
What year are you looking to transfer in as? I believe that AEM only accepts sophomores now and it looks like you have 86 credits putting you at the standing of a junior.
Are they going to want to see your SAT’s?
Yes my credits would make me a junior, which is more difficult for admission than as a sophomore. For sats, it’s not required and because I have so many credits I don’t believe leaving them out would hurt my chances
yup, you don’t need your SATs anymore. And is a junior transfer that difficult? I want to transfer to CALS AEM as well and I’m a junior too. Will it really hurt my chances? Can you guys rate me too?

Tbh, your ECs are a bit lacking. I know being a president and a senator is good, but, I personally think that it’s still a bit of a reach to transfer into AEM. I really hope we both could get in!
