Cornell Chances for CAS and Human Ecology

<p>SAT 2150 (No SS)
Subject
Math 11 - 740
BioM - 730</p>

<p>Two other 680</p>

<p>Top 10% Graduating class.
GPA 4 (Only 2 B+ for all of middle and HS)
@ Least 12 EC w/leadership
All Honors classes
6AP classes Sr yr.</p>

<p>Great recommendations from teachers.</p>

<p>What are my chances for CAS? Also I live in PA and will love to go to Cornell. </p>

<p>In my common app, I say No to: "Are you planning to utilize the
Primary/Alternate admission option?" I already submitted my application, is there a way I can change that option? as I will like to be considered for the College of Human Ecology as an alternate.</p>

<p>You seem to be well qualified, so I would say it is a low reach. However, I have the same question as you regarding the Primary/Alternative Admission option, so I would love if somebody else answered that!</p>

<p>Cornell CAS is as difficult as Penn CAS. Human Ecology is easier:</p>

<p>Apply CAS 1st choice, Human Ecology 2nd.</p>

<p>Resubmit Cornell supplement with amendment, if possible.</p>

<p>Okay, look here about materials:</p>

<p>“If you need to submit application materials in paper copy because you cannot do so online, please download and print the appropriate school forms from your Common Application or UCA account. Paper copy school forms should be mailed to the Undergraduate Admissions Office as follows:

Ithaca, NY 14850-2899”</p>

<p>So what you want to do is mail (or FedEx) in a new printed version of the supplement, with a brief letter explaining that you want to add a second choice college. Submit the second supplement with BOTH the A&S essay (for a second time) and the Human Ecology essay. Also, email them about your sending in an amended supplement - just to be sure they’ll look for it. If you try to call them, you will not get through.</p>
