so i got an email a week or so ago from a representative who said that they had gotten everything for my financial aid application but then tonight I checked my To do list and they said that they still haven’t gotten my (student) W-2 forms so i’m planning on faxing it again tomorrow. i know that they said if you turn stuff in late then your decision won’t be made when you get your decision but for something small like my w-2 form (especially since i wasn’t even required to file a federal tax return) do you think it’d make a big difference to my financial aid decision?

How is it that you guys get emails from financial aid office but I don’t? Is that a bad sign? i had all my required information in already it says to do list: none.

Will decisions be available online at 5 pm e.s.t on March 28? It seems like 5 pm is always the time with Cornell. And if that’s right, do you know if there is a way to get a decision earlier in the day on the 28th?

i cant wait for mar 28 eaither. i really really want to know if i was accepted or not. and im from CA so its more difficult to visit and just pop in and try to get hints from the admission ppls.

@SciMan - I live in India. LOL - No way I’m going to be popping in and looking for hints!! :D

I’m beginning to get that “sinking” feeling - this is not gonna go too well I suppose. Ahh what the h***, I just want my decision!! As quickly as possible.

Anyone know if any International students get a Likely letter or if they get invited to diversity weekend??

HI,
I am Dada from Dhaka, Bangladesh. I applied to Cornell for engineering. My friend from same school received an email from Cornell for sending his parents latest Income Tax return and copy of his passport. But I didn’t get any mail of that sort. What does it implies?
Thank you all with a hope that all of you get admitted in your dream schools.

its like i want may 28 to come so that i will find out whether i get accepted, but i kinda dont want it to come b/c there is a good chance that its a rejection

@souravdada, it only means they need to verify something in your friend’s FA package. It does not mean anything regarding admission/non-admission. Several schools I applied to needed additional docs such as returns, etc, others were happy with just the FAFSA and CSS .
