Cornell Class of 2017 RD Discussion

^ May?! Hold up babe.

Give them sometime, it takes time for their database to get updated.

@collegegirl -You mean March 28th?? :D

Good luck to everyone.

@ rishav17 : yes i do. haha i would die if its may 28 lol

Less than 3 weeks. I’m going to cry if I don’t get in. This is the only Ivy league school I applied to.

i remember when I was nervous about getting into Cornell

good times…

@lilmelonred: I see you around on CC a lot. I think we applied to similar schools. I am in the same situation with Cornell as the only Ivy League I applied to. Really anxious!

Also, I would like to say thanks to this thread, I logged into Cornell’s website and realized they still needed my student non-flier form and my parent’s schedules for FA. Wouldn’t have checked without you CCers lol

Hey @donald203! Really? I don’t think I see you around much on CC. Maybe it’s just me! What is your intended major? I’m into engineering and so I applied to many engineering schools. :slight_smile: How about you?

Thank god for Easter…otherwise we’d probably be waiting until the 31st.
Good luck to all! My MIT decision is this Thursday though, so I have to get worked up about that one first. XD

I’m into finance but I applied to a few engineering schools too because that’s my back up major.

CALS sent it’s acceptances on March 14th last year!

@pauliperi, by email? On the 14 th? After 5PM?

Omg really? If its march 14th this year that means it will be on my birthday? Ahhhh. Don’t get me excited

The earlier decision is only for accepted URM’s and female engineers though. Everyone else got their decisions later.

what’s the estimated admits rate this year?

I got my acceptance to Cornell 6 days ago (March 4th). It worries me that no one else has recieved a decision yet. Does anyone have any idea as to why I recieved my decision so early? (I don’t know if it effects anything but I waqs deffered during Early Decision)

What school did you get into? ILR? Hotel?

Just curious, what are some stats for the females who applied engineering?

@College112
I applied to Engineering (and am female; hence, my reply)
35 ACT; 4.0 unweighted GPA; 5.4 weighted (out of 5.4)
Leadership roles in MUN and Varsity Rifle team
No ranking

@thatdude
Where did you get your acceptance? Was it on your portal or did you get an email or get snail mail…?

And what’s all this about a March 14th decision? Isnt that just a likely letter? And since everyone’s saying thats for URMs and female engineers, if you dont get one and are in one of those two groups, does that basically mean you’re rejected? Or do they send rejections on March 14th too?

@College112

I’m a white female and applied for mechanical engineering

SAT: 1500/1600
CR 730
M 770

GPA: 96.5%, top 5% of class

@thechor346

I’d like to see your questions answered, I’ve been wondering them myself
