Cornell Class of 2017 RD Discussion

I haven’t gotten my financial aid package yet??? :(

Did you guys get it through postal mail or email?

@Eberej, same here…

Accepted (Surprisingly). But no financial aid package. Did anyone else get the Pre-freshman Summer Program letter?

My finaid isn’t that bad… I think it’s actually better than my other schools (CMU, JHU, and Caltech)

I got rejected—I’m not too torn up about it, it was a reach school for me. But congrats to everyone who got accepted! :)

@CollegiateTib
Yes I got a letter too, there’s a threat about the pre freshman summer program.

Dear Peter,

Thank you for submitting your application to Cornell University.
I just realised it’s April 1st…

OMG SAME HERE.

I think I love Cornell even more now.

I got this too! i don’t get it… I got rejected though. or everyone got one?!

Anyone here a Rawlings presidential research scholar?

no but I’m a Meinig Family National Scholar hailing from NJ…
lol do a lot of people get these scholar things? I mean, is it just a tool to attract people to the college, or is it legit?

Yeah I looked at those pages already but they don’t really specify what exactly these scholars do. Is this recognition worth factoring into my college decisions? Right now, I’m deciding between state school and Cornell, mostly because financial aid is bad at Cornell. Is it worth the extra money to go to Cornell with this scholarship? Thanks for the links!
