Cornell Class of 2020 Regular Decision Discussion Thread

@grimx98 what were your stats

It’s a guaranteed fall 2017 transfer to CALS. Have to take required courses according to your major and get a min of 3.0 GPA at another college. There’s a list of courses on the CALS website.

Does waitlist also guarantee transfer?

Rejected. Boo.

Accepted!!!

Accepted to SHA!!!

Basically there are 4 options in order of good to bad :
Accepted
guaranteed transfer
Waitlisted
Rejected

DD rejected SHA.

Does anyone know how to view your financial aid?

I got deferred ED (Human Ecology) and got a guaranteed transfer… honestly not sure if i’ll take it, i don’t want to matriculate at another college this fall with the knowledge that i’ll be gone the next year. it just sounds like a bad mindset to have when approaching classes, social events, making new friends… i’m really upset about this, Cornell was and still is my top choice but this is honestly worse than a rejection for me

the financial aid website says it’s released in early April?? I don’t know why they dont just give it to you with your decisions notification. looks like we’ll have to be patient (again!)

@slara980 darn. I’m tired of being patient

Rejection … At least the letter was nice

ACCEPTED!

Accepted

@motortrend Thank you. Do you think Spring Admission could come in the form of a transfer option from CALS (in the mail in a few days etc.) or would it have been a regular acceptance? I am thankful, but already have a lot hours of college credit (dual-enrolled student) so… I’m not sure what to think. Also, I basically have the suggested/required courses…I’m not missing anything. :-/

Waitlisted human ecology. Oh well it’s not the make-or-break of life.

When does the financial aid package arrives?

OMG i’m crying. Accepted. Thank you God. Congrats to all accepted. To those who did not receive such good news, believe me, I know how it feels to be rejected, as I have gotten several in the past few days, just know you will end up in a great place. Wow this makes it all worthwhile again. Cornell 2020!
