idk

offered guaranteed transfer option! stoked to be offered admission at all, even tho it’s deferred. congrats to all accepted, and to those rejected – your grades and test scores probably are up to cornell’s standards, cornell is just very fit-based. good luck to everyone!

@WittyNameHere what about ILR

Unless stated GT is for fall 2017 which is good because apparently freshman year is really hard

Sophomore year can’t come soon enough!

idk whether i should just go to my state school or to an out state school before i transfer to cornell ;))

@lolog123 I’m going to my safety so that I can easily meet the criteria for sophomore year

@verizonwireless Sorry, but what do you mean?

I read that Spring admission is only for CAS and CALS (this year) and that those (lucky) students were told today. I am not sure if Spring semester guaranteed transfer is a “thing” for any of the schools/colleges. I hope truly hope it is though.

Son received the guaranteed transfer option as well. He is very happy about that actually! Congrats to all who were accepted and hugs and chocolate to those who didn’t get the news they wanted. I know we parents say this, but it’s true, you will do well wherever you land. You can find your people and you will have fun!

So, This guaranteed transfer thing. is it for spring or fall? I got it for Human Ecology and want to know. @CCSenioritis

Waitlisted haha.

Does anyone know whether SATs, essays etc have to be submitted for the transfer option at the Hotel School?

@rhdhtai I got the same thing I believe it’s for fall

@rhdtai You guys will start next fall after attending another university for a year! Congrats!!!

@rhdhtai WE MADE IT sure it’s a year late but still

@cuhopeful16 You have a great attitude and I’m happy for you that you WILL be there. it may be a little later than you ideally wanted, but that year will go by fast. I’ve quietly followed this thread for awhile and I was really pulling for you… and for a lot of people on here, but I know you really wanted it. Congratulations to you!!!

Thank you for your application to Cornell University. We regret to inform you that we are unable to offer you admission to Cornell. Given our very large and competitive applicant pool, it is not possible to offer admission to all candidates who would benefit from a Cornell education.

Within the next few days you will receive notification from the undergraduate college to which you’ve applied that you are being offered a transfer option. Please contact the college directly if you have any questions.

We wish you the best as you consider your collegiate options.

Hi, I don’t really understand this, does that mean a GT transfer or its just a option that you can choose to transfer, but not fore sure you will be admitted! This is so confused!

Or Does everyone receives the same rejection letter!

Son admitted to CALS as an Ecology & Evolutionary Biology major. He’s thrilled.
