Is it weird if I go to a Cornell Admitted Students day? I know GT are having an open house in july, but a few of my friends are going and I would just be interested to tag along to see the campus/student life. LMK
@sprinkle I dont think we’re supposed to go to those.
@quitenervous ik but I may not be able to make it in july bec work/traveling. it;ll defintely feel awk going but im just gonna email an admissions officer and explain the situation to see their opinion (a likley nah)
@sprinkle in reality, you have a year to visit so there isn’t much rush. After all, accepting the transfer option is not binding.
@sprinkle TO students are not allowed to go to Cornell Days- there’s an online registration form which you won’t be able to access without the proper credentials. I think visiting Cornell on your own before the start of your freshman year could be detrimental as you’ll be focusing too much on a school that you’re not attending instead of the one you’re actually going to. I visited once my junior year of high school and will be visiting again in June if I’m accepted as a sophomore through the TO. There’s also a transfer visit day in November.
anyone considering attending University of Vermont freshman year?
@sprinkle - Can you please share the link / information about the open house for GT in July please?
Hi Everybody,
Happy to see so many people with TO to CALS!! I was offered TO to ESS. I also got admission to RPI for environmental engineering with a merit scholarship. I am really torn between these two options and am very confused. I am from NJ and plan to attend Rutgers for my freshman year if I decide to pursue this option. Would appreciate any input regarding RPI Vs Cornell
hi @pink88 ! i’m most likely going to be at binghamton next year too! what do you think about the transfer option?
Hi,
@sprinkle - looks like Chatter access is only given to CALS TO. My S was accepted to ILR and has not received any information. He just joined Facebook group for GT - class 2021.
@camcan - S will definitely take TO and he is excited about it.
Hey everyone! Just out of curiosity, is anyone going to be attending UCONN their freshman year? I haven’t been able to find many people that will be.
also, is the transfer option only offered to CALS, ILR, and human ecology applicants? is there a “chatter” for ILR and human ecology? Because I know we have one for CALS.
Hi! I have also got the transfer option but for CAS!
Is there a facebook group for cornell transfer option 2021?
@cornelltransfer518 yeah! if you search “Cornell University Class of 2021 Guaranteed Transfers” on facebook the group will show up.
@tbh1234 thank u!
My son is going to southern Ct. do you live near uconn?
@Lynnie7 yeah I live in CT! I just thought it would be nice to connect with someone who would also be going to uconn next year and then pursuing the transfer option for cornell haha
Hi everyone, I live in New Jersey and will probably be attending Rutgers before I transfer to Cornell. It would be really nice to get in touch with anyone else who is doing the same so that we can do it together. Please let me know! I look forward to meeting you!
Is anyone heading to Boston College?
