Cornell CS MEng or Brown CS MS

Hi Guys,

I got admited into Cornell CS MEng for Spring. I haven't heard of Brown CS MS yet, and there is a deadline for response to Cornell near the end of Nov.

Would anyone compare the two programs? If admitted into both, which one will be a better choice in what aspects?

Some things I am considering about are:

academic life:
such as
the curriculum plan for preparing students' careers in either industry or academia;
The study stress;
the availability of help from department;
the easiness to get high grades.

The size of the program:
I prefer a small one. I am not sure about the historical data of how many students enrolled into the two programs each year/season.

The history and prospect of employment of graduated students.

The cost:
I guess the tuition will roughly equal? For Cornell, it would be about $22,565 per semester (two or three semesters). For Brown, i am still investigating.
I am not sure whether there are differences in the other costs (housing, dining, transportation, etc) for living in these two places

Thanks for your inputs!

P.S.:
I studied ECE and applied math in my undergraduate and graduate schools. I am not a CS student, though having taken some computer courses offered from non-CS departments.

More info about tuition of Brown I found from their website, the tuition is $22,304 per semester (two to four semesters), and unlike Cornell, Brown will charge tuition according to the course credits instead of semesters.

Advice please!

If cost is equal, I would go with Cornell. Note that it is primarily a professional program. If you’re interested in research or want to do a thesis then do the MS at Brown. I believe Brown is much smaller than Cornell.

why “If cost is equal, I would go with Cornell”?
Is the chance of getting high grade and good job easier in Cornell than in Brown?
