Cornell Days - just for undecided RD, or for ED students too?

My daughter was admitted ED to Cornell College of Engineering and will be attending in the fall.
Saw a mention of Cornell Days in April -
are those weekends just for undecided RD admits, or for ED students too?
Thanks.

Cornell Days are for any incoming freshman…ED & RD

My kid was admitted ED few years back. She didn’t feel the need to attend Cornell Days. I think it is more for undecided.

My D was admitted ED and she is not going to attend. If it were closer, then maybe, but we live too far away.

I attended even though I had already enrolled and I live in Ithaca. I recommend it if you haven’t yet visited the campus, but if you have visited already and have decided on attending, then there is no real reason to. I’m still glad I went though because it made me so excited to see what my future was going to be like in a few short months.

Me and my daughter attended last year since she was deciding between Cornell/USC/UCLA/Berkeley. We’re glad we attended. Our initial impression was Cornell students looked very preppy but stressed and “not friendly”, we’re comparing them mainly to UCLA/USC students. Our first 2 days, the weather was perfect (70’s and low 80’s) and I’ve never seen so many salmon colored shorts and Sperries concentrated in one place (LOL). But her overnight stay experience sealed the deal.

My son was ED and we still attended Cornell Days. It was fun. Of course, it’s only a 3.5 hour drive for us. If you want to go, you should attend.

Thanks all - @annwank - was your daughter told about Cornell Days? (feeling unclear if mine was - perhaps she was and decided the same thing, that it’s too far).

My D was admitted ED last year. She would’ve attended, but we live across the country so it didn’t make financial sense.

@mdsparkle, I think it was mentioned in her ED acceptance letter back in December that she would be receiving more info on this in the coming months.

Guess it’s been pretty silent!

^Ha, yes. Probably she will be notified of this once all the decisions come out. That’s my guess, anyway!

Cornell Days is mainly for regular decision admitted students who are making the trip to see if Cornell is the right choice for them. With that said, it doesn’t mean that ED students aren’t permitted to attend. I found it really helpful to go and meet current students to find out about student life.
