So I know a lot of people are going to Cornell Days alone and all, and I wish I could do that too but I'm all the way from texas so my parents have to come with me! Is there a lot of parents? Am I going to be like the only loser?! :/

I’d presume there are a ton of parents. My mom is coming with me and I’m from northern nj so I could have gone alone. You’ll be fine :)

Claro que si: mi padre, tambi

Don’t need to worry about those. I’ve seen a lot of parents around campus for the past two days.

My father will be there. No worries, we’re in the same boat.

Lots of parents here lol

just got back, i don’t think i saw any kids alone there

It’s great that your parents can take a look at the campus and know what’s available. You can attend some events on your own if you’d like, there’s lots for your parents to do while you do that if that’s what you choose.

My D attended last year from a similar distance. She went with her dad. There are things for you to do together and there are tours where the parents only attend while you are on tours for admitted students. There will be lots of families there and some kids without parents there too.

and if you do an overnight stay, there are no parents around then. I think its a nice mix of both. My D and husband loved it and came away really impressed. Not so much at the Duke one a few days later. Both had time with fellow students and parents. This worked well. While the parents were asking about all of the things they worry about, the kids ask about all of the things they are curious about. Everyone gets the info they need. (and often not in the presence of the parent).
