Cornell Days

Hey kids. Yeah, I'm the new guy here. I can see that plenty of you are avid fans of this forum. Rock on. Anyways.

I'm already enrolled as a freshman into the College of Arts and Sciences (ED), and Cornell Days is supposed to be coming up real soon in April. Has anyone gotten anything specific in the mail about this event? Thanks

I haven't, and i have been checking anxiously everyday in the mail, i hope it comes soon

lol whoa, look who has graced all of us with their presence

i got deferred from arts and sciences...still waiting to hear for rd now DAMMIT...you lucky bum

no, i just got a letter saying that i was gonna get another letter. they're supposed to have info and junk on their website, but i haven't been motivated enough to go check that out yet...

oh.. u guys can go to cornelldays.cornell.edu

Thanks guys.

welcome to the crazy cornell CC board, by the way.

o i have a question about cornell days... what exactly do we do there? are there scheduled acticities each day? how do they determine who we stay with? Can we pick which dorm we want to stay in? etc...

Thanks

i know that you are hooked up with a current Cornell student to dorm with, but i'm not sure if you have to follow him/her around all day long.

tell you the truth, i know just about nothing about Cornell Days except that it goes on for like 10 days. this may be the sole discouraging factor in whether i go or not. 10 days is such a long time stuck with some random kid, plus my school vacation doesn't start till the week after Cornell Days starts. 10 freakin days, wow

does anyone know if we can arrive a couple days late or leave a couple days early?

I'm pretty sure you are only hosted in a dorm for one night, not 10 days.

haha yea u can come and go as u please haha its actually more convienient that way

i know its better to go on a weekday, when classes are in action and whatnot. but if you don't want to miss school, would you miss out on a lot if you go on a weekend?

hey guys, my bio TA told me this today, and I'd thought i'd extend it to you. One MUST DO at cornell is to go visit the plantation and in front of the gift shop (it's across from the dairy bar area) there's this garden of genetically altered geraniums. SMELL THEM! They smell like chocolate, mint, oranges, etc. ^_^ anyway, i think going on the weekends you would just miss out on some of the info sessions (and of course classes) but you can still tour the dorms (just saturdays? maybe sunday too). anyways everyone, goodluck less than 2 days to go! i'm rooting for you guys.

whooooa thats flippin sweet...
