While likely letters are nice, it would be really great (if this whole thing even applies to them) if those who already got accepted into the rolling schools post their times. Come out and help us! Splintercell (who was accepted at ILR, but managed to start a riot) redeem yourself!

If we could get like 5 time samples of accepted students, then we can either determine a pattern or we could dismiss this altogether.

As for what I think, I don't think it's rigidly split into 12's, 1's and 2's. I think 12:20 to early 1 is accepted, mid 1- mid to late 1 is waitlist, late 1 to 2 is rejected...Just a theory with no backing. Acceptees, please post if these times were submitted for you! And if they weren't, please inform us of that.

bingham, that would make no sense as some likely letter people mentioned their times to be in the middle to late 1'o clock time and two were even late 2'o clock.

waiit a minute. i'm a 12:26 and i just realized sat 2s are required. i sent them in of course, but i didn't think they'd be counted. sooo my superscored 34 act, 33 regular, is downplayed by two 680s in sat2s.

i'm an unlikely. sat 2s suck (especially for us crappy public school kids)

Wow I can't believe I just noticed this thread and read all 22 pages of it. Well hopefully the theory of 12-waitlist 1-accept 2-reject is right because this would definitely make up for the vast amounts of waitlists and rejects I received.

To add to this, 2+ weeks ago, there was a small thread discussing whether getting a student ambassador call from HE meant anything. Whereas there were some that got the call and some that didn't despite the fact that HE has the resources to call everyone because of its small applicant pool. Someone proposed that the call was somewhat equivalent to a likely letter. First, not everyone got the call. Second, in years pass HE did likely letter phone calls with a questioning period, and this call seemed relatively similar in nature, just without the acceptance part. So maybe this adds to 1's being acceptances. However this call probably meant nothing, and the times probably means nothing.

Judging from this the 12 is the largest group which could definitely mean either rejection or waitlisted. Usually there are more rejections than wailisted but this year might be askewed. The 1s and 2s could be either waitlisted or acceeptance, not really sure. We cannot really conclude anything until we get more info from other applicants.

I just logged in and it said 12:26 pm. I applied to ILR. I honestly have no idea if i got in or not. I'm doubtful right now since I was rejected by Duke/Boston College but was accepted to WashU. I hope this helps! It will definitely be amusing on Monday to see if there was a correlation between time submitted and decision.

I'm more excited about getting my decision so we can see if this absurd trend is real than to see if I actually got in or not!
(I'm a 2oclocker, so not looking too likely for me :P)
