Cornell decisions

Donnie gets out of the car and takes Grandma Death's hand,
walking her back towards her mailbox. He opens it for her.

DONNIE
No mail today.
(smiles)
Maybe tomorrow.

Grandma Death smiles back at him... and begins to walk slowly back
to her house. She then turns and takes Donnie's hands into her
frail grip.

GRANDMA DEATH
(speaking slowly)
Every living creature... on this earth...
(beat)
...dies alone.

RONALD

How old is Grandma Death?

    DONNIE

A hundred and one, I think. Every day she
does the same thing. But there's never
any mail.

Grandma Death approaches the mailbox.

SEAN
Here we go... this could be it.

She opens it... then closes it. Walks away.

RONALD
Awwww. That sucks.

She approaches the box again...

SEAN
Wait a minute... we may still have mail...
mail, mail, mail....mail?

Opens it... closes it. Walks away.

RONALD
Noooo! Somebody ought to write that *****.

No decision today :(

does anyone actually know when we will start getting CAS decisions?

they are already being released.

Only one person on this site has heard back from CAS though, correct? Seems more like an anomaly to me

Anyone know about HumEc decision dates?

I think Cornell is pretty much updating CAS decisions only once a week coz I havent heard of any decisions since Monday..uhh, I hope they release their decision soon.....

Denied CAS Economics

Denied CAS

soph, Chicago

this is not looking very good...has anyone been accepted to CAS this year?

W.T.F. Lasker, denied with those stats? And meyer1b, i don't know your stats, but I am sorry that happened guys.

I guess more CAS decisions are are being posted online? Is there a new link that comes up? or do they post on in the "application status" page?

new link shows up.

had a high 3.5 at chicago, 1490 SAT.

Dear meyer1b,

We are providing you with our decision on your application to transfer to Cornell University. We regret to inform you that we are unable to offer you admission to Cornell.

This electronic message is not your official notification. You should be receiving an official letter from us in the mail shortly.

We understand that this is not the news you were hoping to hear from Cornell. Given our large and competitive transfer applicant pool, it is not possible to offer admission to all candidates who would benefit from a Cornell education.

We wish you the best.

Sincerely,

Jason Locke

denied. .... got the message tonight.

I am sorry, matm.

Something seems wrong with Cornell this year. Something seems wrong with all the Ivys.

Wow, what majors did you guys apply for?

matm, sorry to hear that. I'm definitely shocked as well; you seemed like a strong applicant. I agree with nspeds.

Good luck with the rest of the batch. You've still got that personality flair and creative energy workin' for ya' ;)

Rejected CAS history
4.0 from Rice
4.1 hs weighted
1450 SAT

Wow, this is surprising. CC posters are getting slaughtered by Cornell CAS. Hopefully this isn't indicative of what my other schools are going to say.

Grapes, how were your essays and letters of recommendation? Also, when did you guys submit part 2 of your applications?

Seriously...a 4.0 from Rice???? If you guys aren't getting in Cornell -- there's no way in hell I'll be getting in anywhere.
