Ya I guess so… ATB to us
Best of luck to everyone on this thread!
Hey guys, I’m an international applicant who applied to CAS and I received the FedEx email. Package will be sent on the 11th and arrive on the 14th, international priority. Good luck to everyone!
RIP me then I guess. It’s time to continue working on my RD apps
Everyone will eventually get a mailed acceptance or rejection. The email to check the portal comes first. The acceptance by mail is big and tied with a red ribbon. Good Luck to everyone tomorrow. If Cornell is not meant to be, its ok. You will find your place. You are all smart students with tons of potential.
So have any domestic applicant gotten a FedEx email, or just international? I’m in the states and I have never received an email from FedEx about any incoming package before ever… I didn’t even know they did that.
@cmustang1 domestic applicants will get their acceptance in the mail just in a week or 2. Just like from any other college.
@cmustang1 I followed the other years forums and never heard domestic applicants get anything prior to the portal’s decision.
@Scorpion2000 What about international applicants?
Hey guys, my brother applied RD and was accepted two years ago. He never received an email from FedEx. I had never heard of FedEx sending an email either
@mamachicken I am not an expert. I only followed the forums. Perhaps I missed it, but I never saw international applicants recieving fedex emails. Maybe its the first year this happened. Perhaps its fedex’s new initiative when sending priority international. I know how nervous we all are. Whatever happens will help next year forum lol. For us… its just wait and see
Perhaps only international applicants who have signed up for a FedEx account have received an email? I sometimes receive email notifications for USPS packages (if the website I’m ordering from participates) because I’m an accountholder.
hi all! I lurk a lot on this thread, and only posted a few times in the beginning I’m so glad to see that Cornell has such sweet applicants this year, and I wish everybody the best of luck tomorrow. ONLY 32 HOURS, 37 MINUTES LEFT AHHHHH I’m stoked
@fsadreamer that makes a lot of sense!
I’m actually feeling calmer now then I was a couple of days ago. I read in an admissions blog ( forgot which one or else I would share the link here), that all the top students who are truly amazing will get into their ED schools, clearing the RD competition for everyone else. I’m taking a hard look at all my RD schools right now, knowing that I will not be competing against brainiacs or pre Olympic/professional athletes in the next round if Cornell is not meant to be. I hope my zen will help y’all!
*a bigger pool of brainiacs or…
@Camchar88 by top students, fo you think they mean GPA/SAT/Rank or top fit to where you applied, or overall. My GPA and SAT are not top:(
@Camchar88 I think that they take a mix for ED. I think it is not just about that GPA/ACT (or SAT)/Rank, but about fit. Especially for CALS, Hum. Ec., AAP, and ILR, it seems like they focus a large part on how they think you will fit with them, and I think in ED, that might even be more important (if its possible) than in regular. I am only saying this because if you can show them that you really fit with their school AND have signed a binding agreement saying you will attend if accepted, it counts for something. That is why they accept a large part of their class from ED (about 40%).
I’m very anxious and nervous but still I’ve been trying to keep myself distracted and stress-free, because no major change is going to be made at this point anyway. If i get in, great!! but if i dont, maybe its a chance that god gave me to find a better school for myself! I really have NO IDEA how much of a chance I have in getting accepted… so I just stopped thinking about it lol !!
And to think we should have known Thursday lol
