The thing about test scores and GPAs is that they do not necessarily have to be perfect, but show an increasing trend and/or course rigour. Many universities place rigour above grade in significance, with activities and essays usually higher still. While it is true that higher scores are ‘good’, past a certain threshold, they look more into your character, essays and ECs. I know people are sick of hearing this, but when and if you do get in, people discuss their high school ‘stats’ and you will be surprised at the diversity of scores. However, you will also find a similarity in that everyone had focused (long-term) ECs which showed clear determination, and essays that are personal and reflective of character.
