I feel like decisions will come out the 6th though because in the past the decision has come out on the first thursday of december
How many things are still left in your guys financial to-do list? And what are they?
Does anyone else still get a blank page on their application status? My checklist is complete and my financial aid to do list have everything on it and all are listed as “initiated” but the application status page is still blank. Also, I cannot find anywhere where it says to submit first quarter grades for CALS so should I send these?
CALS requires first quarter grades to be submitted?
@FutureSurgeon27 my page is still blank. I called the office and they told me they have all my materials and not to worry.
Can u send the number because I also need to call the office
You could look online. I think they just created something where you can type into it and you can look at websites. Oh right it’s called a computer
@yllatagu don’t know about CALS but COE does require the Q1 grades. Check on their page re admission requirements to see what their requirements are. For COE it didn’t show up on the applicant status page so it was confusing/frustrating.
@18butterflies got it after my interview. I’m not a legacy or anything either. I don’t think it matters if ur a ny resident or anything. I think it’s because I stressed research in my application.
Apparently people in humec get likely calls 2 weeks before decision date regular decision does anyone know if the same is true for ED
Which of you guys didnt get called for an interview?
I did not get called an interview.
Sorry for my error-plagued post above (#319). I typed it on my iphone and sent without proofing. I didn’t realize that you can’t edit posts on CC.
Does A&S require Q1 grades senior year?
I don’t think Q1 grades are too important. If you’re a perfect 4.0, then they’ll admit you based on your record. However if you have something on the fence a strong Q1 senior year might push them to accept you
does anyone know if CALS requires Q1 grades? I dont know if I should submit mine now or until after decisions come out.
I applied for COE. Though in their website they mention that we are required to submit quarterly grades, I am not doing it as I dont see that as missing item in application checklist. If they want it, they will send me an email.
@CornellCOE my DD specifically emailed the COE about this and they reaffirmed that the Q1 grades are absolutely required from them as part of their application, even though it is not on the main application checklist. Remember, each school at Cornell reviews the applications, so you don’t want something as innocuous as your Quarter 1 grades to be the reason they withhold your acceptance, or question why you didn’t turn the grades in. They most likely only want to see that you aren’t bombing classes as opposed to only a slight downturn. I doubt they can really hurt much. Probably hurt more that you don’t turn them in than anything. I saw that you said you were earning a B in 1 class. You are human, that is a good thing!
@RobNin I learned about editing the hard way as well. You have a certain amount of time after responding to make the edit, then you cannot do it any longer.
I don’t think it means much if you don’t have an interview. I am sure it is hard to interview 6k applicants. They had 6,319 last year, and most certainly had more this year. Don’t fret. We will all hear soon enough.
is it okay if my counselor submits Q1 grades tomorrow? On the CoE website, it says they had to be submitted by Thanksgiving but we didn’t finalize grades until this week.
Which college are you applying to? I’m pretty sure quarter grades aren’t required unless they specifically ask you to send them.
