Cornell Fall 2018 Transfer Thread

@hihi02 Somebody posted that CALS would start releasing decisions tomorrow but idk where they got that info…

Has anybody applying to CALS noticed something that might indicate they would get a decision tomorrow (financial aid checklist change, transeval login change)??

My College Report has yet to be checked off, and I sent it in to the post in early March. But they still have not contacted me for missing materials, should I be worried?

And I’m worried since it is not checked off I won’t receive my PIN. I tried the PIN trick but no PIN was found. Also I applied CAS, does anyone know when CAS applicants will usually find out?

Nah, you don’t need to worry. My HS transcript is still not checked off. Everything else is.

My HS sent my transcript back in the first week of march, about a month ago

So the link is working for me (the apply yourself link), now im scared af, does that mean Cornell made a decision for me? ( im new to this thread).

ok so major update, i logged into the link and it said my decision will be viewable tomorrow at 10 A.M. Does that mean anything??? btw, im non GT, im honestly expecting a rejection but im nervous none the less.

PIN cannot be located for me yet, and my application has been checked off for a little less than a month…

I know NEXT week is considered rejection week, so I hope my PIN isn’t created for releasing next week

@shrukin1 Which school are you applying to? Could you share your stats?

I’m applying to ILR, pm me for stats

@shrukin1 Could you pm me? I cannot send messages to you since I’m not a junior member yet lolllllll

@bambujr8 are you applying to CALS as well?
I tried the PIN trick it didn’t work for me but my materials were recently checked off so I’m assuming my decision will come later

.

Does anyone know whether it’s a good sign or not to get the decision tomorrow? Or just mutual…

this release is mostly GT’s and a few regular applicants. So it’s most likely acceptances. I wouldn’t say one wave is more rejections or more acceptances after this first wave. It depends on when all your materials were received and reviewed

I looked through previous years’ threads, almost everybody in the first wave got accepted (exception could happen). And many people got rejected in the second wave. @pccjccc

true @deliciousSteak but this year Cornell was really behind with materials so it is a different situation right?

@deliciousSteak Believe me, I wish I agreed (since my PIN thing says I will receive a decision tomorrow at 10!), but that only seems to be true for last year. The year before, many people were rejected in the first wave.

I also don’t think it’s the auto-admits/auto-rejects (or at least, I would hope not! I have literally a 4.0 GPA, honors program, etc. so I would like to think it took at least a bit of time to reject me lol).

My guess is that it’s purely rolling admissions. I got my application done ridiculously early (February), so I’m not surprised they made a decision already.

I obviously don’t know if “rejection week” is actually real, or if next week is just the week where they release the most decisions (as reflected by many users on CC getting rejected). Either way, if my PIN is registered and my decision is going to be released next week, I’ll be very nervous…

Good luck on the result!!! When did your application got all checked? I’m so nervous, I just got everything checked last Friday @shrukin1

@hihi02 Yeah I am… My midterm report got checked off tuesday of last week and now I have everything in… I think most of the people here aren’t part of CALS since I’m pretty sure CALS uses transeval (https://transeval.cals.cornell.edu/) instead of the other link… But idk… no updates yet… I’m pretty sure our acceptances will come later
