Cornell Fall 2018 Transfer Thread

@Boroboro We need to survive for one more week. I have no idea how I’m still in since @XiHalo117 had impressive stats. This is like a game of who is getting kicked off the island. I’m probably next week because my stats are subpar compared to him. Hoping you pull through though.

can someone explain how the transeval works? i can see the link and can open it after i login my Cornell portal. So how this suggests?

@mohamedali0923 I ended up getting rejected to Cornell! Oh well. I was accepted to Wesleyan yesterday though so I more than likely I will be attending there in the fall. How about you?

Has anyone received a decision yet? I applied to transfer into CHE as a junior, majoring in PAM. I read somewhere online that the later you receive your transfer decision, the higher the likelihood of rejection—this is making me nervous, since my application was complete quite a while ago and I have yet to receive word.

Does anyone know whether a later decision = higher likelihood of rejection?

congrats to all acceptances (especially the human ecology ones!)…why are the decisions so random? were all acceptances supposed to go out today? does that mean i got rejected, if i didn’t get an acceptance today?? sorry for my anxiety jskdjfksdjg

what is a pin trick?

@criesinchinese how late you get your decision has no revealing information about your admission likeliness. I’m almost positive i’m going to get denied, and still haven’t gotten a decision. We know decisions go out every tuesday so honestly some people should just relax and wait their turn. There’s nothing you can do, other than wait.

PIN trick didn’t work for me. FA/aid transcript = initiated, so I’m relieved. Applied to HumEc, idk why they’re taking so damn long

@scyinpiano I got the email asking for course descriptions/syllabi on Thursday but didn’t get a decision. Did you get it earlier in the week?

Also, only if you don’t mind sharing, what are your stats/major?

Thanks!

is there anyone who applied for PAM in HumEc who heard back?

@wsu195 thanks for the info, I was worried that if I did not get a phone call that means I did not get in haha. Congrats btw.

@criesinchinese I am in the same boat as you, I think after next week it is more likely we either get rejected or wait listed, just a hunch.

any other ILR applicants who hasn’t heard back?

@wsu195 sorry to bother you but do you remember how long before your decision was released did Paul Fisher contact you ?

Any other LSA applicants who hasn’t heard back?

How long has it been since you guys application was sent for review? I have been following the thread and seen that a lot of you have been waiting since the beginning of April and some who’s application was sent on the mid of April already received their decision. So i am guessing the decisions doesn’t really come out on rolling basis.

@intlundergrad7 my guess is that they make the easy decisions first. So if you haven’t heard then you’re probably being considered but not a fav

makes sense. Thanks

@hopeful112 I haven’t heard back yet from Cornell. However, I got accepted to another out of state university for Fall 2018. I’ll keep you updated if I hear back from Cornell tho. Good luck in your academic endeavors. I believe you will do great wherever you go. Wesleyan is a great school.
