Cornell Fall 2018 Transfer Thread

Guys can you help. Everytime I try to get my pin number, it says that they can’t locate it. What does this mean?

@hollandarden I think that means your decision hasn’t been made/posted yet?

@intlundergrad7 @Vincent1997 also means you’re not unfavorable. 2 sides :)>-

i read somewhere in this long thread that humec tends to be quite random with rejections/acceptances. so i don’t think the length of time we wait impacts/is related to our decisions @seabass31

@transfer2739808 if the pin trick works AND your transcript is still initiated, it means that you’re rejected.

@msport I basically wrote the same thing yesterday haha
I completely agree!

accepted CAS

Forgot to post this morning, but accepted for Human Ecology majoring in Biology, Health, and Society from a CC. Pre-med student, 3.9 college GPA.

Does anyone know how hard it is to transfer internally? I didn’t have all the pre-reqs for a psychology major when applying and didn’t want to risk a rejection.

@criesinchinese Yeah I’ve read the thread from 2017 and it showed some people receiving Human Ecology acceptances on Wednesdays and by just calls followed by mail. I hope for our sake the late decision is in our favor rather than not.

I just realized that I received an email earlier today stating my decision. Despite the cynics that have said otherwise, I am happy to say that I was accepted to Dyson!!

@ChadisWack idk if you mentioned the wrong person but I already got rejected LOL but best wishes to you!!!

What is financial aid trick? I’m so nervous right now. I think I have to wait till next week.

My financial aid says that there is no current to do items. The pin trick still doesn’t work for me

I didn’t get an email about the admissions decision with my PIN?

Others say that you get the pin once they made the decision for your application.

Rejected, Anthro.

Not worried though as I got into my 2nd choice school  Congratulations to everyone that’s been accepted so far!

MODERATOR’S NOTE:

IME, applicants on every board are looking for a back door to find their admissions decision early. In almost all cases, there is not back door. Believe it or don’t believe it. But one should assume that there is probably no surreptitious way that an 18-22 y/o has thought of that has not already been thought of by more experienced members of a college’s web team. Just sit tight. You will know the decisions soon enough.

Has anyone sent the undergraduate admissions office an email recently? and if so, have they answer it? I sent them an important email on Monday and have gotten no response, not even the automatically reply that they usually sent :-/

Never mind, they just answered me :)>-

Has anyone who applied to Mech Eng gotten a decision yet?
